Clean friendly little hotel. Small rooms but very updated and pleasant. Comfortable beds and a good complimentary breakfast as well.
The moment we got there, the staff made us feel welcome!! I traveled with small kids and my older parents! The staff anticipated our needs and the experience was great! The location is wonderful and the kids enjoyed the fire pit and the lake, feeding the fish. The breakfast staff waiting on us and everyone was helpful and friendly!
This is was second trip to the Black Swan Inn. Once again, it was a phenomenal experience. The entire staff is top-notch! They are all extremely accommodating and always go above and beyond. They are genuinely caring and make you feel like you are family. This is a beautiful property close to everything. The rooms are immaculate and modern and definitely provide that New England cozy feeling. Better than any five star accommodations I have previously experienced! Great operation. We would never consider staying any place else.
we booked spur of the moment to come for performance at Shakespeare and Company. Very convenient for that. Clean and basic; unfortunately they seem to use a mint fragrance in the rooms. No lake view rooms available. We had a view of the carpark and road. Lucky we were not there for the view. I understand that the restaurant is very good, but it was not open for lunch when we were there. The free breakfast is rather nondescript, but the woman doing the serving was very energetic and helpful. Probably would only stay there again if I could be sure of a lake view and request no fragrance.
On a small lake... good rooms, great breakfast... good location... charming small town feel... try to get bottom floor waterside!
